Chicago Land Golf Classic – 2024 Rules
1) Ready golf; always take at least two (2) clubs with you to your ball on all shoots
2) Must stay with the group in front of you
3) Identify a Designated timekeeper for each group
4) The Pace of play is 3 minutes looking for the ball; no additional time is allowed to look for the ball, even if you are waiting for the group in front of you
5) Time starts when you get to the area where you begin looking for your ball
6) If Ranger makes you pick up, everyone in the group will take a three-stroke penalty for that hole
7) Start your routine early.
8) Putt everything out; the ball must be holed; not putting out will result in 2 stroke penalty; no exceptions
9) Your ball must be marked and announced; a provisional ball must have a different mark and be announced before being placed in play
10) Call out what you are hitting once all players are on the green
11) Partner must validate strokes at each hole
12) All scores for the group must be settled, announced and confirmed by the Goup Captain before play begins on the next hole
13) Because of pace of play, pick up at ten (10) on any hole; do not play the hole out
14) Friday money and shirt day. Please wear your shirts at least for the traditional picture
15) Meet immediately after the last round for the trophy presentation
16) In the event of a tie-on moving day, the average lowest score on the lowest handicap holes for that day will be used. We will use the #1 handicap (if necessary, #2 holes) holes for both courses for the tie breaker
17) Final round playoff hole, if allowed, if not lowest score on number 1 handicap
18) Out of bounds is a two-stroke penalty; two club lengths from the nearest edge of the fairway must take distance; you may re-tee with a provisional ball with a one-stroke penalty (you cannot return to the tee box once you tee box leave)
19) All hazards (Red or Yellow stakes only) are the point of entry with one stroke penalty: You can hit a provisional from the original spot or play your ball from right outside the penalty area two club lengths from the point of entry.
20) Course rules supersedes all rules previous discussed above.
